MY STORY

When I started Le Petit Miaou in 2016, I wanted to give everyone a chance to be the beautiful lolita they've always wanted to be.

In the beginning, I didn't imagine Le Petit Miaou would turn into a brand - it was just a single dress project for her first convention tea party. I distressed at having a “brand” outfit shipped from japan and risk it not fitting my measurements, but as my project came to an end, a new passion was born.

Over time though, Le Petit Miaou began to evolve and change.

It started with adoptable dumplings. Origami and crocheted accessories still fell under the umbrella of a fashion brand, but then I started doing my own artwork. Adding in some fanart. Creating items from my photography. Founding the Nine Lives Cat Cult.

Le Petit Miaou no longer fit my shop as a cohesive brand.

Enter Weaponized ADHD

I love to attend Anime and Japanese Culture Conventions. My dream is to create unique and durable products that make people happy. I am still creating my stained glass art and fabric prints. I am still making dresses and skirts. I still plan to continue with Le Petit Miaou - just under the Weaponized ADHD Umbrella.

I love being in Artist Alleys at conventions. I love to show the J-fashion community that there is more out there than the Japanese brands. I love to listen to my customers and adjust my brand to fit the needs of the people.

I like to fix problems. Even if they're problems you didn't know you had. "Dresses don't fit my shoulders..." I included elastic on all of my straps. "The elastic on my skirts are uncomfortable...." I make my skirts so that you can adjust the elastic in your skirt to your perfect comfort level. "I love being comfy in my blanket, but I hate when I have to get up and leave the warmth...." Custom art blanket cloaks with cloak pins so that you can wear your beloved blanket out in style. "I love these earrings, but my ears aren't pierced/but I have my ears gauged..." I have clip ons and hoop style clickers that I can swap any of my earring hooks out for. "I can only tolerate titanium..." I have titanium hooks as well.

I'm not just an artist and a seller - I'm also a consumer. I've bought more art and keychains from my fellow artist than I have the space for. That also means that I want my brand to evolve in a way that I can overcome the issues that we have with products and manufacturing. I was always disappointed when my acrylic keychains would scratch and break, so I decided to make my art keychains into more durable and functional fabric wrist straps. I didn't want to fight with taxes and overseas manufacturers, so I decided to create the majority of my products by hand. Yes, it makes things harder for me, but I know that the products I am putting out are a quality that I am proud of.

At conventions, my setup will always have a wider variety than what I have on my website since it is nearly impossible for one person to keep up with everything. If you saw something at a convention that you don't see on my website, please send me an email and ask about it because I may just not have it listed.

Thank you for your support over the years, and I look forward to stepping into year 11 along with all of my old friends and bringing new friends along for the ride.
